Hotel

Your hotel, 'scattered' across five sites in the town of Orosei

Mannois: the "scattered hotel" in Orosei, in the heart of eastern Sardinia.

The joy of staying in an ancient conurbation, the flavour of Sardinia at its most authentic, the pleasure of immersing yourself in unique moments in a timeless atmosphere, just a stone's throw from the sea.
This encapsulates the spirit of Mannois, our "scattered hotel" in Orosei, in the heart of eastern Sardinia.

Mannois, which in the Sardinian dialect means "ancestors", is a scattered (multi-site) hotel that embodies a philosophy of hospitality based on welcoming tourists to authentic places that embody the local identity and on giving the centres of Italy's most beautiful towns a new lease of life.

The Mannois scattered hotel offers 50 rooms of various types, including Superior Rooms, Junior Suites, Suites, Lofts and Apartments.
Our Reception is located in the historic Su Rosariu building, just a short distance from Piazza del Popolo, right in the centre of town. Here you will be welcomes and guided towards our buildings, you can receive information on excursions, tours and places to visit, book various services or relax in the comfortable communal area.
The rooms are "scattered" across various buildings, in line with the concept of the albergo diffuso ("scattered hotel"), all located in the historical centre of Orosei: a jewel made of little stone alleyways, renovated old houses, small courtyards and breathtaking sights.

Guests staying with us also have access to the Locanda Sa Turre and the Mannois Beach Club, our hotel's private beach at the Marina di Orosei.

Our mission is to allow you to get to know and to share with you our beloved land and our history – the most genuine resources we have – giving you a Sardinian holiday with all of the services and facilities you would expect of a 4-star hotel.

Here's where you can stay:

Su Rosariu

A recently renovated 19th-century building, Su Rosariu is located in the oldest part of Orosei, just a stone's throw from the showpiece square of Piazza del Popolo.
It is here that we will welcome you when you arrive, and this place laden with history will become "base camp" during your stay, since this is the location of our Reception and of one of the breakfasting rooms (the other is in the Sa Corte building), but also of space where you can spend some quality time in the company of others. In the evening, after an intense say by the seaside, you can relax in the courtyard of Su Rosariu and savour a delicious aperitif with salame, typical Sardinian produce, bread baked in the wood-fired over and a careful selection of wines.
At the Su Rosariu building, you can also find our new and most exclusive rooms: the King Suite with its private external terrace and panoramic view of the entire town and out to sea, the Executive Suites with their internal terrace and the Deluxe Suites.

Sa Corte

This is a typical 19th-century rural house with attractive rural architecture. It was inhabited in the past by three families of estate managers – amongst the better-off of Orosei's farmworkers. It is remarkable to think that their descendants continued to live there, together with their farmyard animals, until 1990!
Sa Corte plays host to the most exclusive rooms: the Superior Rooms, the Junior Suites and the Suites. As a guest staying here you are catapulted back into the past, into the history of our ancestors, immersing yourself in their time-honoured and painstakingly restored homes.
In this timeless atmosphere you will also find the breakfasting room (where guests staying in the other buildings are also served breakfast) and the bar. You can even enjoy breakfast in the quaint courtyard on summer mornings.

Sa Turre

This fascinating and mysterious building was actually the first hotel in Orosei – in the 1960s, it become hotel "La Grotta", and was the accommodation of choice for the first tourists visiting the island. Fully renovated, the building is equipped with a lift and ramps to facilitate access by those with disabilities.
Sa Turre also offers a number of Double Rooms with three-quarter size bed, as well as Classic Double Rooms (including one for those with disabilities) and Family Rooms, all faithfully renovated but now complete with every modern comfort.
On the top floor, a beautiful panoramic terrace affording the opportunity to marvel at wonderful views across the Gulf of Orosei and to savour authentic meals at the Locanda "Sa Turre".

Sa Dommo

This old white house, typical of those found in the centre of Orosei, is located just a few yards from Sa Corte. Sa Dommo plays host to Double Rooms with three-quarter size bed, in addition to Classic Double Rooms and Family Rooms, each with its own private outdoor space (gazebo or balcony) from which to admire the stunning little church of San Sebastiano and the evocative panorama of Mount Tuttavista, relaxing with a good book as you sip on a refreshing drink at sunset.

Lofts & Apartments

Just a short walk from the centre of town, not far from the other buildings and with a convenient free car park opposite, you will find the welcoming, charming rooms of our Lofts and Appartamenti, which area ideal for those who want larger spaces and the comfort of a self-contained home.
The building, rendered all the more attractive by its archways and light-filled verandas, is located in a central area with a wealth of amenities, including a bakery that produces wonderful fresh baked delights every morning, a butcher, a newsagent, a post office and a supermarket, all of which can be easily reached on foot.
